Jean is President of Pentec, Inc. bringing 29 years of experience in the retirement industry to the position and having managed departments with various concentrations including recordkeeping, ERISA Compliance, daily valuation processing and customer service.
She joined Pentec in May 2005 as Vice President of Operations. Prior to joining Pentec, she worked 15 years for Stanwich Benefits Group, a TPA firm, and upon its acquisition, as Divisional Chief Operations Officer for The Bank of New York.
Jean holds professional designations of Qualified Pension Administrator and Certified Employee Benefit Specialist and is eligible to practice before the IRS as an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Connecticut.
Michael E. Callahan, EA, CPC, FSPA, MAAA
Michael E. Callahan, EA, CPC, FSPA, MAAA now serves as Vice President and Senior Consultant Actuary of Pentec, Inc. - a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Investment Managers, Inc. He was the former owner and President of Pentec, Inc.. He is a Fellow in the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) and an Enrolled Actuary. He is also a Certified Pension Consultant and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He has over 30 years of experience in the pension field. He serves on the Board of Directors for PenChecks, Inc. He has been a frequent speaker in regards to pension issues, has recently made presentations to the Annual Conference of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries and to the Annual Conference of the Enrolled Actuaries, and has provided expert witness testimony to the Pension Advisory Council of the Department of Labor, the House Ways and Means Committee, the Senate Finance Committee, and the Internal Revenue Service. He has several years of experience with public retirement systems. He served on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Actuaries and American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, and is a past President of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries.
Mr. Callahan co-chaired the IRS Northeast Region Employee Benefits Conference for nine years and is a frequent speaker at the Conference.
Mr. Callahan also served on the Actuaries/Consultants Board of Directors for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Wheeler Clinic and the Cheshire/Southington YMCA.
Mr. Callahan was the first chair of ASPPA's Political Action Committee.
Mr. Callahan co-authored the Defined Benefit Answer Book published by Panel Publishers, Inc. along with Paul W. Denu, MSPA and Kathryn Smith, Esq. He is a recent contributory author to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant's CPA Guide to Retirement Plans for Small Business.
Stacy Cugno

Stacy Cugno is the Sales and Marketing Director for Pentec, Inc.
She successfully completed the Pension Administrator's course
from The American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.
She graduated from Central Connecticut State University in May of
2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Management.
Stacy has 5 years of experience in the pension field. She joined
Pentec, Inc. in June of 2004. Stacy is responsible for the
installation of all new Plans with Pentec, Inc. Stacy also formulates,
directs, and coordinates marketing activities to promote Pentec, Inc.
services. She develops constructive and cooperative working relationships
with Advisors & CPAs, and maintains them over time.
Quynhchau Le, MBA, CPC, QPA, QKA, ERPA

Quynhchau Le is a Senior Client Consultant for Pentec, Inc.
She has attained the Certified Pension Consultant, Qualified Pension Administrator
and Qualified 401(k) Administrator designations from The American Society of Pension
Professionals and Actuaries. She has also attained the Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent
designation, which would allow her to represent clients on retirement plan
issues with the Internal Revenue Service. She graduated from the University of
Connecticut in May of 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Actuarial Science,
and graduated from the University of Connecticut in May 2004 with a Professional
Master of Business Administration degree.
Quynhchau has 11 years of experience
in the pension field, She joined Pentec, Inc. in May of 2000. Quynhchau is
responsible for the management and consulting of all aspects of the Defined
Contribution Plans and some aspects of the Defined Benefit Plans. She is also
actively involved with the implementation and design, special projects and
studies of new and existing plans.
Paul J. Shortier, CFP®, CPC, QPA, QKA, ERPA

Paul is a Senior Client Consultant with over 20 years of experience in the pension field.
Prior to coming to Pentec in Southington CT, he worked for Lous Kravitz & Associates which is the largest independent firm of retirement plan consultants headquartered in Southern California. Paul's background includes design, implementation and administration of Defined Contribution Retirement Plans.
Paul has earned the designations Qualified 401(k) Administrator, Qualified Pension Administrator, and Certified Pension Consultant from the American Society of Pension Actuaries and Professionals. He is also eligible to practice before the IRS as an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent and is a Certified Financial Planner. Paul graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Mathematics.
Frank P. Rossi III, QPA, QKA

Frank is a Client Manager for Pentec, Inc. concentrating in Defined Benefit Plans and plan design studies and installation for new business opportunities. His daily functions include completion of valuation reports and government reporting for defined benefit and defined contribution plans, as well as nondiscrimination testing. He has overseen consulting projects such as PBGC audits, IRS plan terminations, and plan document qualification analyses.
Prior to joining Pentec, Inc. in 2007, Frank worked in the Financial Planning & Analysis department of Travelers, and spent a year doing comparative analysis research and statistical modeling of marketing budgets and the effect on industry competition.
Frank is a Qualified Pension Administrator and Qualified 401(k) Administrator through the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, has passed the exams and is awaiting official confirmation of being certified to practice before the IRS as an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent, and is pursuing requirements to become an Enrolled Actuary through the IRS. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science double major of Mathematics and Statistics, along with a Business Administration minor.
